Extraordinary People, Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer

John Legend sings, "We're just ordinary people We don't know which way to go Cuz we're ordinary people Maybe we should take it slow, This time we'll take it slow..." She is quite the opposite of ordinary. Sometimes while living this life we meet people who come and go with no impact. I like my people with impact. On a few occasions in my life, I have run face first into people who will have lasting impact on me. I can count on one hand. I can tell you the story for each and every one but I can't explain the draw or the enlightened feeling of "this is one of MY people". . .  For one, she allowed me to literally attach myself to her! Hi, I am a handful. In the midst of her own schtuff she will try to fix my schtuff. She laughs at all my jokes, she doesn't make fun of me for ordering pink wine, even mundane conversations with her leave me feeling inspired and capable...ahh, what I am attempting to do here is explain that pull that makes her one my people but it will never ever ever work. It will only pale in comparison, this isn't about words. It is about feelings. I can only hope that when you meet the people that have impact on your life, that your heart recognizes the person standing in front of you.

Just for her. So Sunshine, It is my hope that when you look at these photographs, you see the person I've seen ever since I turned my back on a whole room of people just to meet you. Thanks for being my people.

Valentine's Day Boudoir Photography Specials, Pittsburgh Boudoir Photographer

It sure has been quite over here lately! I've had some super secretive girls want to keep their Christmas and Valentines Day presents under-wraps! I am totally fine with that! It is a total privilege that I am entrusted to shoot this type of photography! Being that it is my favorite, I feel really blessed! I wish I could promise some more posts but January is ripe for Boudoir Photography! Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I'll be one busy girl for the rest of the month! Who knows if I'll even have time to sit down and blog! I will also have a big announcement coming shortly so please come back and check for it!

Just a couple more from the lovely H.  I really owe this gal big TIME! She has just been so sweet to me the whole way through! After just a couple emails she told me how comfortable I made her. That made my day! I love hearing that, I aim for that. Whether it is communication via email or phone, or coffee, I love coffee, it means so much to hear my girls say that I make them feel comfortable. Truth of the matter is, she made ME feel comfortable! The day of the shoot, was one of those "I wanna go back to bed and start over" kind of days! Just about everything went wrong from the way I made my coffee, to how I pumped my gas...you get the idea. While she was having her makeup done, I was setting up the studio space. She was so excited and at ease. All was going well until my equipment failed, ok, pull out the back up equipment, backup equipment fails. At this point I start to sweat, off comes my blazer, I am getting more and more flustered. She looks at me and says, she loves my work and knows that the photos will be fantastic! How awesome is that! I start trying to figure out what I am going to do. I have been reading books about Hurrel style lighting but haven't taken the plunge to using with my clients yet. I figured it was my only option. As it turns out these photos turned out to be my favorite from our session. Without her making me feel so comfortable, I have no idea what would have happened!! The oppurtunity to experiement usually happens on my own time, never ever with a client. This is one of those lucky times when it worked out. So a huge big hug and kiss to my awesome client for allowing me to be human, mess up and figure it out! xo

Kitty Fifth Avenue's Glimpse, The Girlfriend Experience Boudoir, Pittsburgh Boudoir Photgraphy

I love love love the top photograph.It is all technically wrong. That doesn't stop me from loving it. Kitty came in and she brought the oomph. Not to mention some of the cutest lingerie! This was less photo shoot and more of a romp! I had amazing time! What is even more exciting is that, she already has a session booked for the spring! Feeling beautiful and happy sure is an addicting high!
